Sustainable Acoustic Ceiling Panels for Offices – Molis & Co Case Study
Located in Barcelona, the Molis & Co offices underwent a renovation designed by Conti Cert. The goal was to create a modern, functional workspace with open-plan areas and enclosed meeting rooms. Throughout the project, the design focused on visual continuity, natural materials, and acoustic comfort.
The renovated offices combine white-painted ceilings with HONEXT® perforated acoustic ceiling panels. These panels integrate sound-absorbing solutions into the architectural design.
In addition, glass partitions with white-painted steel frames maintain transparency and visual connections between spaces. Custom-made birch plywood furniture also complements the natural aesthetic.
To improve acoustic comfort, Conti Cert selected HONEXT® Boards made from recycled cellulose fibres. This choice also supports the project’s circular design approach.
A total of 120 m² of perforated panels were installed with a natural, raw finish. As a result, the project demonstrates how sustainable acoustic ceiling panels can enhance contemporary office interiors.

PERFORATED ACOUSTIC CEILING PANELS: DESIGN AND INSTALLATION
For the Molis & Co office renovation, Conti Cert selected 12 mm HONEXT® FR-B Boards with a natural, raw finish to create a continuous acoustic ceiling solution that integrates seamlessly into the interior design.
The boards feature a custom perforation pattern (018) and an acoustic fleece laminated to the back, designed to support sound absorption and improve acoustic comfort in the workspace.
HONEXT® BOARD INSTALLATION
A total of 120 m² of perforated HONEXT® Boards were installed on an aluminium substructure using concealed screws and butt joints, creating a clean, uniform ceiling surface.
The combination of natural material texture, precise perforations and discreet fixings demonstrates the versatility of HONEXT® Boards for acoustic ceiling applications in contemporary office interiors.
