50 m² HONEXT® BOARD = 310 kg of upcycled industrial fibre
GLEBA – Moagem & Padaria selected HONEXT® Boards as wall cladding for its bakery located in Parque das Nações, Lisbon. The project reflects the brand’s philosophy of working with 100% Portuguese ingredients, prioritising cereals from small-scale farmers and sustainable agricultural practices.
To align the interior design with these values, the project incorporated circular materials that support a responsible approach to construction and resource use.
HONEXT®, made entirely from upcycled industrial fibre, provided a material solution that combines natural aesthetics, durability, and environmental responsibility, contributing to the overall sustainability of the space.

Application: Interior wall cladding

In environments dedicated to food production and retail—especially when dealing with organic and natural products such as bread—the health profile of building materials becomes particularly relevant.
Choosing non-toxic, safe materials for interiors helps ensure that the space reflects the same values of quality, transparency and care that define the food being produced.
HONEXT® Boards support this approach through their safe material composition and circular design, helping create interiors that are both environmentally responsible and aligned with the wellbeing expectations of contemporary consumers.
By integrating HONEXT® Boards into the project, the bakery incorporated 50 m² of circular wall cladding, preventing 310 kg of industrial fibre waste from being discarded.
This demonstrates how circular materials can play a practical role in reducing environmental impact in interior architecture, particularly within the hospitality and food retail sectors.

HONEXT® Boards are Cradle to Cradle Certified® GOLD and Material Health 4.0 GOLD. Therefore, they are a safe and circular solution for interior construction.
Additionally, HONEXT® Boards perform as circular wall cladding that supports healthier indoor environments and responsible material cycles.
Furthermore, selecting certified circular materials helps reduce waste generation in interior architecture.
Consequently, circular wall cladding contributes to safer spaces while aligning projects with sustainable building principles.
