HONEXT® Acoustic Solutions for Restaurant Interiors
Parking Pizza brings circularity into its newest space on Calle Valencia, Barcelona. Designed by Skye Maunsell Studio and Jordi Veciana in collaboration with Berta Bernat, the project preserves the restaurant’s industrial and social identity while introducing a more comfortable and balanced dining experience through HONEXT® acoustic solutions.
The intervention focuses on the acoustic false ceiling system, where perforated HONEXT® Boards were integrated to improve sound absorption across the open dining space. This solution enhances acoustic comfort while maintaining the exposed, raw, and honest aesthetic that defines Parking Pizza’s interior language.
Manufactured from 100% recycled fibres, HONEXT® Boards contribute to healthier indoor environments and circular hospitality design, creating a space that feels calmer, warmer, and more comfortable without compromising its architectural character.

In vibrant hospitality environments such as Parking Pizza, acoustic comfort plays a fundamental role in shaping the overall dining experience. Open layouts, high ceilings, and continuous activity can generate elevated noise levels that affect conversation, wellbeing, and spatial comfort.
By integrating HONEXT® acoustic false ceilings, the project improves sound absorption while preserving the restaurant’s industrial and honest architectural identity.
Manufactured from 100% recycled fibres, HONEXT® Boards contribute to healthier interior environments through safe, circular, and high-performance material solutions designed for contemporary hospitality spaces.
The project incorporates 200 m² of HONEXT® acoustic ceiling systems, transforming 1,445 kg of upcycled industrial fibres into high-performance circular interior materials.
Installed as perforated acoustic false ceilings, the solution helps reduce reverberation and create a more balanced atmosphere within the restaurant, enhancing comfort without compromising aesthetics.
This intervention demonstrates how circular materials can actively improve indoor environmental quality in hospitality spaces while supporting more responsible and low-impact interior architecture.

HONEXT® Boards are Cradle to Cradle Certified® GOLD and Material Health 4.0 GOLD. Therefore, they are a safe and circular solution for interior construction.
Additionally, HONEXT® Boards perform as circular wall cladding that supports healthier indoor environments and responsible material cycles.
Furthermore, selecting certified circular materials helps reduce waste generation in interior architecture.
Consequently, circular wall cladding contributes to safer spaces while aligning projects with sustainable building principles.
