Wolfgang is steering Honext x WEPA GmbH’s operations and industrialization, applying his deep expertise in paper recycling and environmental technology to develop sustainable material solutions for the built environment. His role focuses on creating synergies between Honext Material and WEPA to accelerate circular economy practices and unlock new applications for recycled fibres.

He envisions the joint venture as a transformative platform for circularity that turns recycling byproducts into valuable resources, driving projects that reduce the environmental footprint through innovation and collaboration. By leveraging decades of experience, Wolfgang ensures that the approach of the joint venture combines technical excellence with achieving sustainability goals.

Wolfgang holds a degree in Environmental Engineering and brings over 30 years of experience from WEPA Group, where he managed projects like power plant installations well as pioneered initiatives such as ISO certifications, Ecolabels, and emission trading, and recently developed post-consumer OCC-based tissue products for EU markets.
